Schedule: Full Time Days
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Location: Office is in Altamonte Springs but travel within Volusia, Flagler, Seminole, Orange and Osceola.
Other duties as assigned. Provides coaching and training to nurses identified as needing additional assistance with skill development and documentation training.
Assists in training new certified nursing assistants.
Communicates regularly with orientees during the orientation period and 3-month evaluation period, including joint visits.
Provides frequent communication and feedback to the orientee’s manager during the orientation and 3-month evaluation periods.
Reviews required competency forms with each nurse and preceptor regularly during the orientation period and ensures new staff have satisfactorily completed all requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
• Knowledge of electronic medical record.
• Ability to follow standard precautions and uses personal protective equipment when indicated.
• Ability to complete Hospice of the Comforter Orientation and Training, as necessary.

Field of Study:
• In Nursing.
Work Experience:
• 2+ years experience as a registered nurse (RN) including one year of hospice experience [Required]
• Home health and/or acute care nursing experience [Preferred]
