REGISTERED NURSE - MINIMUM DATA SET / RESIDENT ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENT COORDINATOR
The RAI-MDS Coordinator is a member of the Extended Care management team who works closely with the Chief Nurse, Geriatric leadership and CLC nurse managers, initiating and facilitating evidence-based practice and research, and providing leadership in the ongoing systematic evaluation and improvement of the functions of the MDS process. He/she facilitates an interdisciplinary approach to high quality, cost effective and customer focused health care. The duties and or responsibilities of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Minimum Data Set (MDS) may include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate/facilitate the facility RAI-MDS process according to CMS regulations and guidelines.
