Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Greencroft Communities to conduct an executive search for a Chief Operating Officer.
Headquartered in Goshen, Indiana, Greencroft Communities (GC) is a not-for-profit faith-based provider of senior housing, services, and programs with eight continuing care retirement communities throughout northern Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. In keeping with its Mennonite values and high standards of care, GC is committed to creating dynamic communities that embrace the creativity, contributions, and challenges of aging for all. With annual revenue exceeding $90 million, the organization is home to over 2,300 residents and employs a dedicated team of over 1,300 staff.
Reporting to the President/CEO, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for directing the overall operations of GC through leadership, management, and vision, providing strategic and operational oversight for its communities. The COO will be responsible for providing executive operational leadership for GC as well as developing, analyzing, and implementing business strategies to ensure continued growth and financial success on all campuses. This role collaborates in close partnership with the President/CEO, Corporate Leadership Team, and Campus Vice Presidents of Operations. The successful candidate will embody and articulate the mission, values, and vision of the organization and will be both entrepreneurial and innovative in developing strategy, resources, and services to ensure the organization’s long-term viability, advance organizational goals and objectives, and protect the reputation of GC and those served.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced operations professional within senior living/health and wellness who is a strong operator and collaborator and is of Christian values. A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. At least eight years of proven experience in a leadership role(s) is required, preferably in a multi-site organization consisting of independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care services. Licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in the State of Indiana or ability to obtain by reciprocity is preferred as well.
