Fairview LTC and hospice pharmacy seeking a motivatedpharmacy technician who is a team player with a passion for patient care to join the Fairview LTC team. LTC technician responsible for processing and filling orders for Skilled, Assisted Living and hospice patients of the pharmacy, work with staff to manage workload timely to meet facility and patient expectations, assist the pharmacy manager with meeting daily operation needs and completing ancillary duties as assigned.
This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible position. This position qualifies for a $5000 sign on bonus.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Providing superior customer service to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities as well as the hospice programs the pharmacy supports
Assist in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies in both vials and unit dose packaging
Packing up orders for delivery
Assisting with cycle fill process
Receiving inventory/verifying stock-to-invoices and maintaining the pharmacy in proper order
Required: Current or pending registration by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, and if first registered on/after 1/1/2013, completion of a MNBOP approved employer based or vocational/technical training program. Preferred: Pharmacy technician experience and knowledgeable of data entry and insurance adjudications.
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Third party plans
Previous LTC experience preferred Desired Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proficient in the English language
Good attention to detail
Ability to problem solve effectively and manage time effectively
