This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. The Physician will be expected to provide direct patient care through GI consultation and follow up care in general GI as well as Hepatology, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He/she will also be expected to perform GI procedures in the day procedure unit or other settings as appropriate. Physician will be required to take rotational call on nights and weekends for inpatients. Duties may include working with and instructing Internal Medicine residents and Gastroenterology Fellows in outpatient and inpatient settings and providing appropriate feedback on their performance in a timely fashion. The Physician will participate in rotational on-call coverage at the Temple campus, providing consultative and procedural care to hospitalized patients after routine duty hours and on weekends.
