Work Hours/Shift: Full Time / Day
You Will Be Responsible For:
Provides overall direction and management of the Admissions and Referrals departments. (70%)Directs the development, implementation and monitoring of department protocols, policies and standards to ensure effective and efficient use of staff, facilities, equipment, and other resources while maintaining patient care standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities (20%)Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws, including employment laws.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities (5%). Participates in staff meetings, department meetings, in services and other related activities. Attends educational and developmental seminars and meetings, as deemed appropriate.

A. Education and Training: Associates Degree in Nursing, Health Care, or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Administrator.
B. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of nursing including 2 years of hospital nursing or hospice/home health. 2 years supervisory nursing experience is preferred.
C. Certificates and Licenses: A clear/active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license is required; Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Certification are preferred.
The Director of Patient Access is responsible for providing overall direction, oversight, expertise and management to the Admissions/Referrals Departments to streamline the process of receiving referrals and admitting hospice qualified patients onto the hospice services.
