This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Duties include, but not limited to: Provide patient centered primary care medical services to male and female Veterans in collaboration with a dedicated RN and LPN. Manage chronic conditions, evaluate and treat intercurrent medical conditions, and scree for onset of new health related conditions. Uses state of the art electronic medical record that contain all clinical information related to VAMC outpatient and inpatient care and remote data from other VA and DOD sites. Perform occasional minor office procedures common to general internal medicine and family practice skills. Collaborate with a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to provide accessible, comprehensive, coordinated, continuous care to an assigned panel of patients. Ensure that the practice of medicine is consistent with Joint Commission Standards, VA policies and regulations, VISN standards, national statutes and regulations, medical record documentation and HIPPA policies.
