The Monterey County Health Department is seeking a candidate with proven leadership and administrative skills to fill a vacancy for the position of Director of Public Health Nursing. The Director reports to the Assistant Director of Public Health. The Director of Public Health Nursing directly supervises and manages the Community Based Nursing Division which includes Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health, Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program, Nurse Family Partnership, Nurse Home Visitation, Nutrition Home Visitation, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Program, and Whole Person Care.
The Director also oversees the nursing practice of the Department’s public health nursing staff assigned to the Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Division, Children’s Medical Services Division, Community Based Nursing Division, and Sexual Assault Response Team.
