The Section of Geriatrics in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. Responsibilities may include having a geriatric primary care practice, skilled nursing facility and long term care service, home-based primary care and consultation (e.g. house calls), attending on the inpatient teaching service, and precepting residents and medical students. Leadership opportunities exist as the geriatrics programs expand throughout the Northwestern Medicine health system and associated retirement communities. There are ample opportunities available for scholarly activities, including quality improvement initiatives and research collaborations in the Center for Applied Health Research on Aging, Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease, the Emergency Department, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, and other clinical departments.
Qualified candidates will have their MD/DO and be board certified/board eligible in geriatric medicine. Candidates should also have completed residencies in either Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
