Glenaire is presently seeking a Food and Beverage Director for our active non-profit continuing care retirement community located in Cary, NC. If you enjoy hospitality, being part of a team environment and possess initiative, a heart for service, and enthusiasm, we want you! The Director position provides overall strategic dining leadership to the organization while overseeing the general operations of the dining department to ensure exceptional meals, excellent presentation, and outstanding service for our residents.
The Food and Beverage Director, along with the dining team, is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the kitchen, Main Dining Room, Bistro, the Cafe, and catering for activities and special events.

* Passion and innovation for hospitality and dining services
*Desire to serve an older adult population, experience in this area is a plus
*Familiarity with specialized diets, nutrition, and food sensitivities a plus
*Creativity and the drive to lead a diverse team
*Exceptional customer service skills
* At least three years experience in a hospital, hotel, or retirement community setting
* Experience with budgeting, scheduling, cost controls, OSHA
* The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing along with strong organizational and computer skills
