The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for generating leads and translating them into sales. This position develops and executes a creative and aggressive marketing strategy to increase and maintain occupancy in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. This includes responsibility for electronic and print advertising as well as generating a social media presence. The successful candidate will possess the ability to calibrate strategy as needed to achieve results. This position also provides day to day leadership for the members of the Sales and Marketing team.

Direct, monitor and motivate sales and other staff to ensure that The Mayflower achieves and/or maintains budgeted or better occupancy in independent units, residential and nursing care.
Participate and contribute to ensuring that The Mayflower fulfills its purpose, mission, values, community outreach and long-range plan.
Provide a leadership role in the management of The Mayflower by maintaining a positive professional and personal, open, honest and caring relationship with staff, residents, and Board members in all areas/positions through active support, participation and communication in meetings, activities and daily interaction.
Provide direction and help create and review letters, press releases, ads, collateral materials, newsletters, annual report and correspondence to the market, families, residents, management and staff.
Develop yearly marketing plan and department operational goals and budget to support The Mayflower strategic plan; monitor/tract/report outcomes; and provide direction and support to marketing staff for successful completion of their personal and the department’s goals, budget, and marketing plan.
Develop, review and implement marketing/admission policies and sales/closing documents and contracts.
Interact and communicate with residents and their families, including participation in resident meetings and activities to maintain a positive professional relationship that helps to attain high Resident satisfaction.
Coordinate procedures for touring community and leading prospects through entire sales process by creating trust, building relationships, and overcoming obstacles
Create and implement events to draw prospects to the community
Develop and maintain processes for managing leads and building great relationships with our referral database
Effective utilization of sales tools, providing follow up to potential residents.
Relationship building in the local area with integrity
Demonstrate the company culture daily
Utilize data to assess and refine the sales and marketing processes and procedures.
Maintain compliance of industry regulations, including strong attention to detail and record keeping
Complies with all federal, state and local codes, laws, and regulations governing the community
Responsible for compliance with human resources related company policies as well as all applicable federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
Prepares for annual State Inspections and re-certification
Prepares for Government inspections- AHCA, OSHA, OIR, etc
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred.
Five (5) or more years of experience achieving proven results in sales and marketing, preferably in a non-profit senior living or healthcare setting.
Experience overseeing and using a CRM system.
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written. Proven ability to command an audience and quickly develop rapport and credibility with a diverse range of people.
Enjoys working with older adults
Strong leader with superior customer service skills and professionalism
Computer proficiency to include MS office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic and evolving environment.

The Mayflower retirement community is a beautiful continuing care retirement community located in Winter Park, Florida. Must be able to pass a level 2 background screen and drug screen.
