Posting Summary: The Department of Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative and Hospital Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks candidates interested in a leadership position in Geriatrics. Leadership responsibilities will include Medical Directorship of Nursing Home and Assisted Living facilities. Clinical duties may consist of direct patient care in an outpatient clinical setting and a nursing home setting as well as quality assessment and practice improvement. This position will be responsible for the medical education of Geriatric Medicine fellows, residents, and medical students in both the classroom and clinical settings. Rank, tenure-track and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. This faculty position can be tenure-ineligible Assistant or Associate Professor, Clinical Faculty, or tenure-eligible Assistant or Associate Professor, Clinician Educator.
Candidates for positions must be an MD and board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine by start date. Leadership and administrative experience are also highly desired.
