Baptist Retirement Homes is a not-for-profit, church-related long-term care organization supported by the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation. As a result of the great support that the Baptist Retirement Homes Foundation receives from its friends across the state, it has been able to touch the lives of countless numbers of North Carolina Older Adults via direct financial assistance to Seniors for care in a post-acute setting and community-based programming.
The CEO will work collaboratively and collegially with the BRH management team and all board members to lead BRH to fulfill its mission and achieve targeted financial performance in accordance with Board-approved plans and policies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinate and direct development of long-range strategic plan, goals, objectives and policies for the BRH and the BRH Foundation. Facilitate input from and approval by the respective Boards.
Oversee all corporate business functions including finance, human resources, compliance, quality assurance, risk management, capital projects, development and Board relations.
Oversee operations of each community and work to ensure that goals and service/performance objectives are met.
Facilitate improvement of communities to ensure quality living facilities for residents to preserve BRH’s value.
Establish and maintain partnerships and affiliations with appropriate organizations in the North Carolina community, with organizations within the senior living industry and with broader healthcare services organizations that foster the values, vision and mission of BRH.
Build strategic and innovative partnerships Establish career development plans for key management/leadership positions. Mentor and support the professional development of the management team.
Ensure that all policies and procedures of BRH adhere to all applicable state and federal licensing regulations; implement policies in a fair and effective manner as well as make new recommendations/modifications to policies as needed.
The BRH CEO will possess the following skills, experiences and leadership characteristics:
A proven track record as a leader with substantial experience in the long-term care industry.
A professional with sound business judgement and financial acumen.
Demonstrated track record of success in fundraising. A professional who generates trust and establishes relationships that lead to financial support for the Homes.
Ability to develop creative strategies and contractual relationships that fulfill the Mission of BRH.
Ability to successfully balance a broad conceptual strategic orientation while maintaining a focus on the day to day needs of operations.
Superb anticipatory skills and experience with the changing healthcare/senior living environment to anticipate the ever-changing trends and the need to alter the future strategic direction of the organization.
