The Manager of Medicare Advantage and Senior Care Sales is responsible for developing, training and managing the external sales representatives, producer relations, GA relationships and FMO relationships. The Manager is responsible for the implementation of sales and service goals, and ensuring continued and increased consumer market growth with our Medicare Advantage and Senior Care products. Recruitment of producers, producer training, and producer sales results. Essential functions of the role include:
Provides management reports that detail the direct sales team contacts and close ratios and as well as the external Sales Representatives contact effectiveness on our Medicare Advantage and Senior Care product lines.
Provides input on product offerings and keeps executive management updated on competitive positioning.
Engages in hiring, staff development, team building, and mentoring of department personnel with a strong focus on customer service excellence.
The ideal candidate for the Manager of Medicare and Senior Care Sales role has eight years of managed care account management, broker services, or sales experience, and is currently certified, having passed the Medicare Advantage and Part D exams, or take and pass the Medicare Advantage and Part D exams within 90 days of hire . The candidate holds a current, valid state Health/HMO insurance license and has sales and/or management experience in the Medicare Advantage market. Experience addressing customer needs and building customer relations is integral to the role. The ideal candidate possesses verbal and written communication skills, including business writing. Experience addressing customer needs and building customer relationships, along with negotiation, presentation, sales, and financial skills are key for this role. The candidate will have the ability to travel frequently in order to recruit, train, and manage external producers in multiple territories. A Bachelor's degree is preferred (1 year of education may substitute for 1 year of experience.)
