The Health Care Administrator is responsible for the organization and management of the Health Care Center. To manage the budget and ensure financial stability; to enforce federal, state, and local regulations; and to represent the facility in the community. The Administrator is also in direct contact with all department directors, working with staff members and residents to set goals and to allocate resources.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of Texas (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or Business form as accredited university (preferred)
Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from an accredited university (preferred)
Experience in the long-term care setting is required
Must have a working knowledge of state and federal regulations
Must have thorough knowledge of principles of management, budgeting and accounting
Demonstrate a sound knowledge of standards for maintaining nursing home licensure in the state of Texas
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of communication techniques and the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written); to analyze problems and identify practical solutions
