ETSU operates the Northeast Tennessee Nurse Family Partnership Program in Northeast Tennessee. The program will now be serving women in Cocke County and this position is for that county. The Nurse Home Visitor position requires energetic and self-motivated Nurses who have a desire to help low-income women with their first pregnancy and child rearing challenges. The position requires home visits to women during pregnancy and after the birth of the child, up to two years of age. The Nurse Home Visitor will be involved in recruitment of pregnant women eligible for the program. After extensive training the NHV will carry a caseload of approximately 25. Travel is required and the nurse must be able to work flexible schedules (some evenings and weekends). Nurses work under the supervision of a Nurse Director. The successful applicant will be stationed in Newport with weekly scheduled meetings at the main office in Washington County.
