Under the general direction of the Senior Clinic Manager, the Clinic Practice Manager develops and oversees departmental cost centers to assure alliance with and adherence to the organization's mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies. Emphasizing service excellence, patient safety, staff safety and organizational integration, the manager leads the department in overall program development and service priorities. The Clinic Practice Manager is accountable for all UW Medicine Patients are First goals by working to achieve their Leader Accountability Management metrics. Effective managing, developing, and evaluating the competence and satisfaction of assigned workforce. Effective operational problem solving and communication at all levels. Effective interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration and service coordination. Effective evaluation of departmental practices, policies, and continuous process improvement. Effective planning and evaluation of space, resources, numbers and skills of staff to fulfill mission. REQUIREMENTS:Master's degree relevant to service area AND 2-3 years of experience in service area. Demonstrated leadership experience, working collaboratively with medical leadership and staff. Demonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of the clinic. Demonstrated ability in process improvement to optimize clinic flow and operations. Demonstrated interpersonal skills in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilities cooperation and collaboration to meet goals. Demonstrated skill in Human Resources management such that staff are productive and function well as a team. Ability to have tough conversations as needed, counsel staff and utilize corrective disciplinary process as needed. Knowledge of The Joint Commission, Department of Health, and other regulatory agency standards. Demonstrated excellence in customer service in daily interactions with patients, family members and medical staff. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
