An independent and assisted living retirement community located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago is seeking a Chief Executive Officer. The CEO is responsible in conjunction with the Board of Directors, to provide and establish the strategic vision in all aspects of the business operations, and lead in a way that is consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization that inspires confidence and creates trust. The CEO is responsible for the financial viability of the organization, providing management of the organization’s capital and human assets within approved budgetary guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to build consensus and relationships among executives and the workforce. The CEO must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and operate effectively within a nonprofit environment while also providing leadership in the implementation of best practice management from both the business and nonprofit sectors. The successful candidate will possess strong financial acumen, as well as fundraising experience/high end donor development experience. This person will report to the Board of Directors.

5-10 years of experience as a Chief Executive Officer or C-Suite level/senior leadership experience is required, as well as a Bachelor’s degree. Senior living experience preferred.
