We’re looking for an employed physician to provide medical care and treatment for the patients serviced by Suncoast Hospice Pinellas County Care Teams in the following positions.
Several roles are currently available:
Care Center Physician - Palm Harbor
Home Team Physician - St Petersburg
PRN Physician - Daytime, Evening and Weekend hours Available
In these critical roles, you will provide physician direction and guidance to the Suncoast Hospice program to assure the maintenance of quality care for patients and families. In addition, you will participate in the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meeting, perform certification, recertification, provide symptom control expertise, perform clinical visits in the home or inpatient setting and provide regulatory visits to meet recertification requirements. You will also serve as an educator and researcher of hospice care.
The ideal candidate must possess an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, along with Board certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties recognized specialty that deals with care of the terminally ill, such as Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Oncology, or Geriatrics. Knowledge and previous experience in palliative medical practice and symptom management with a minimum of three years post graduate medical practice experience is required. State of Florida licensure and valid Florida driver’s and automobile insurance as per agency policies is also necessary, as you will be making home/residence visits on a regular basis. .
